Andy Warhol Bananas Skateboard

Description

Bring a slice of rock-and-roll history into your space with this artful deck.

The banana that introduced the seminal rock band The Velvet Underground to record stores around the world is reproduced seven times on this skateboard. In collaboration with the band, Andy Warhol created the artwork of a single banana for the cover of The Velvet Underground & Nico, 1966, a vinyl album in MoMA’s collection. The back of the skateboard is printed with an image of Warhol and a reproduction of his signature. The board is crafted from seven-ply Canadian maple wood and measures 32h x 8.25w x 0.5″d. The Skateroom is a platform for promoting, selling and producing art on skateboards that supports youth-empowering organizations.
